Had a flood in my basement and CAA sent out Service Master, ..initially they were great, hard working and efficient, but my big concern of lack of communication…they would show up out of the blue…but they do a good job…still they haven’t provided an estimate to my insurance company CAA so I can get on with the repairs and replacements…it’s been three weeks with out any updates or communication from either Service master or CAA who are waiting on SM FOR THE ESTIMATE

I recently experienced a flood at my home in (Ottawa) and because so many homes were in a similar situation, My insurance company had to reach out to a company outside of Ottawa… ServiceMaster Restore of Muskoka were the ones chosen to complete phase one of the mitigation - which was tearing out all of the flooring and wall board, etc., etc.,cleaning, demolding, drying out and doing an inventory of damaged and undamaged contents for my insurance company. From the onset meeting with the Foreman, I was impressed with their logistics. He explained to me what would happen how it would happen and likely how long it would take… His crew was amazing. They worked tirelessly for days cleaning the basement and did an excellent job while minimizing any inconvenience to me and my family while they were here… Cleanup was a breeze. As they are from Muskoka, we will not be using them to do the renovation work but have hired another contractor. However, with respect to initial mitigation and cleaned up, I would highly recommend this company! As the cost was covered by my insurance company, I am unable to give a comment on cost

ServiceMaster of Muskoka was s complete nightmare to deal with. Initially, they responded quickly and completed the emergency remediation work, which gave us confidence to move forward with them for the repairs. Unfortunately, our experience changed dramatically after we signed the contract. Communication became almost non-existent. Over a period of 13 weeks, we received little to no meaningful updates, no clear timeline for the work, and repeated attempts to get information were often completely ignored. When we were able to reach someone, the interactions were frequently dismissive, rude, or evasive. We understand that construction and restoration companies can be busy, especially during peak season. However, basic communication and realistic expectations would have gone a long way. Instead, we were left waiting for months with no clear understanding of when work would begin or progress. After 13 weeks without adequate communication or a workable timeline, we decided to terminate the contract and hire another company. Based on our experience, I would not recommend ServiceMaster of Muskoka.

We had a breakin at our house and they broke through our Patio doors. Service Master were so reposnive and come down the same evening and boarded our patio door. They answer the phone everytime and their project coordinator Anthony was great to deal with.

had them out 4 weeks ago for a flooded basement. I am not getting any return calls from Kim .I want to know when she will be sending bills to CAA(who also are not returning my calls) so they can forward money to me to do my own renovations. Will think twice about another company if this happens again
